Basic monitoring options

This tutorial covers the following topics:

  • Selecting the "Monitor" mode in a search/monitor tab

  • Defining monitoring criteria

  • Starting monitoring

  • Analyzing your monitoring results

  • Saving the monitoring results to a file

Step 1

Open a new search tab, choose a profile and select Monitor mode.

Add monitoring criteria.

Define monitoring criteria.

  • Provide desired text

  • Select logical condition for parameters (AND if all parameters must be met, OR if only either of the parameters must be met)

Start monitoring by clicking the Start monitor button.

To stop monitoring you can press the Stop monitor button.

Step 6

Analyze your results.

  • Browse your results

  • Sort by different columns

  • Apply local filters (Text, log level or time filters)

  • Change highlighting

  • Click on the desired element to view the entire log entry data

  • Right click on the table row and find out about contextual functionality.

Save the results for further analysis in different formats.
